General Information Breckenridge, Colorado is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. This historical alpine town is in Summit County and is only 86 miles west of the capital, Denver. Breckenridge is a lovely town with scrumptious restaurants, stunning art galleries, and quaint shops. The majestic Blue River flows parallel to Main Street; creating a lovely setting for a romantic stroll, a family outing, or a friendly get together. There are over 300 days of sunshine every year, so there's plenty of opportunity to enjoy the surroundings. Breckenridge is also home to a world-class ski resort. Every November over 2,300 acres of terrain across four amazing mountains opens to skiers and snowboarders from around the world. The Ten Mile Range soars to 14,000 feet above sea level and offers adventurous trails for people of all abilities.
