6AM Grab the X-C skies and head up to Peak 7 for a morning ski on the Siberian loop. The sun is rising over the snow-covered mountains ... what a great way to start the day! 7:30AM Cruise downhill to the parking area and see a ... what is that?! Something is moving in the trees?? It's HUGE!!! "I don't want to scare you, Liz, but there is a moose in front of us," said my friend. After focusing in on this beast of an animal, I saw that she was eating off of the branches. She didn't seem to mind us, but we had our action plan in case she charged us. "Run into the woods and hide behind a tree. Make sure the tree is between you and the moose at all times!" ... was the advice I was given. We made it safely to our vehicle, and she just kept eating!
