November 11, 2010  Opening Day is just around the corner . . . and we all know what that means. Free travel mug and free coffee, the day before!
I joined the legions of beverage drinkers, some local - some probably not, in the journey to one of my favorite coffee shops on this day, if not also on the other days - to collect the official 2010 "Wake Up, Breckenridge" travel mug and accompanying free coffee. In my opinion, this is one of the greater events the town of Breckenridge presents - fostering a sense of community and friendship all in the name of promoting The Season and the building momentum for its hoped-for coming success. So join me in "cheersing" a cup of coffee - to optimistic laughter, the warmth and reassurance of a friend's arm around your shoulder, and the best of everything yet to come. - Carisa P.
