23rd Annual Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships
As the 23rd Annual Budweiser International Snow Sculpture Championships are underway in Breckenridge, Ski Village Resorts is proud to be once again sponsoring a team. Team Australia is staying with Ski Village Resorts while they sculpt the "Emu Egg". Known for its delicate beauty and astounding strength, the Emu Egg belongs to the largest bird in Australia. The Australians were busy creating their sculpture today, using a variety of tools to transform their 10 foot wide, 10 foot long, and 12 foot high block of snow into a masterpiece. This is a hobby for all of the team members, and they create one sculpture a year. We caught up with them this afternoon before they headed off for a hot tub break. Judging will take place on Saturday and the sculptures will be on display until February 3. Come and see these world-class pieces of snow art!
